Job summary

You will review time entries, benefits changes, and run pre-payroll audits, while addressing employee questions with confidentiality and generating management reports. On a typical day you will assist with AR/AP tasks, month- and year-end items like W-2s and 1099s, and stay current on payroll regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Experience in a payroll clerk or similar capacity.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• UKG payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end payroll processing for all employees with precision and on-time delivery.
• Maintain thorough employee payroll files: hours, deductions, benefits, and adjustments.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries promptly.
• Create and distribute payroll and variance reports for leadership.
• Assist with annual tax documents (W-2s, 1099s) and related reconciliations.
• Monitor payroll regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Partner closely with HR to administer benefits and deductions accurately.
• Support Accounting with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and related functions.
