Structured Trades in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled Commercial Orbital Welder to join our team. You will perform precise GTAW (TIG) orbital welding on stainless steel and carbon steel piping and related components, reading drawings and welding maps to ensure code-compliant welds.

You will set up, operate, and maintain orbital welding equipment, prepare and align pipe fits, and follow procedures to deliver clean, defect-free welds in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years TIG/GTAW welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, blueprints, weld maps and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Familiar with ASME, AWS, or other applicable welding standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain orbital welding equipment and tooling.
• Perform precision GTAW (TIG) orbital welding on stainless steel, carbon steel and other applicable materials.
• Prepare, fit, align, clean and inspect pipe and tube prior to welding.
• Follow welding procedures, weld maps, drawings, specifications, and job requirements.
