Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. is seeking a Technician II in the Digital Data Networks unit to join a team building, testing, and optimizing optical systems and automation equipment for AI, cloud computing, and hyperscale data centers.

You will work with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure clean optics, proper fiber handling, and thorough QA checks, contributing to high-precision interconnect technologies and production documentation.

Qualifications

• High school degree, technical training, or related experience in optics, photonics, electronics, engineering technology, manufacturing technology, or related fields.
• 1–2 years hands-on assembly and testing of delicate or high‑precision parts.
• Experience using standard software tools for documentation, data collection, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist development teams with cleaning and inspecting optics and other precision parts.
• Ribbonize, splice, and test optical fiber and connector assemblies; prepare products for final packaging.
• Train on performing insertion loss, return loss, and other final QA checks on final product.
• Follow and help revise work instructions, assembly procedures, and fill production records.
