Corning Incorporated is seeking a Process Engineering Technician in Fairport, NY to support precision optics manufacturing. The role is first shift, Mon-Fri, with limited travel and occasional after-hours support.

Requires 7+ years in a manufacturing technician role and deep optics knowledge. You will partner with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to maintain peak production, drive process improvements, and develop new product introductions.

Formación

• 7+ years of engineering technician experience in manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of precision optics manufacturing methods (generation, polishing, testing).
• Hands-on experience with optical fabrication equipment and metrology.
• Proficiency with production systems: SAP, MES, SharePoint, Power BI.
• Ability to author technical documentation and deliver training.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily production support to resolve process upsets and identify improvements to reduce cost and increase capacity.
• Manage production equipment health, PM schedules, inventory, and upgrades/repairs coordination.
• Collaborate with process engineering on new product introductions and process development.
• Author technical documentation and deliver training to operations on standardized processes and procedures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production issues and respond to customer complaints.
