Lingo Staffing, Inc. is recruiting for an Optical Lab Technician- CNC in Greensboro, NC. This role involves transforming semi-finished lens blanks into precision prescription lenses using advanced digital surfacing technology and CNC equipment.

The position requires meticulous attention to detail, comfort with standing for long periods, and a willingness to learn specialized optical manufacturing processes. The shift is 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with on-site production support.

Qualifications

• Experience operating computer-controlled equipment.
• High attention to detail with delicate optical materials.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to learn and train on specialized optical manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lens blanks for processing through blocking, generating, polishing, and de-blocking operations.
• Operate and monitor CNC generators and automated polishing equipment to produce precision lens surfaces.
• Perform laser engraving and ensure accurate placement of required lens identification markings.
• Safely de-block, clean, and prepare finished lenses for downstream coating processes.
• Inspect lenses for scratches, pits, waves, and other defects using lensometers and specialized lighting.
• Follow job-ticket specifications, production procedures, and quality requirements with a high degree of accuracy.
• Perform basic equipment monitoring, adjustments, and calibration-related tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
