Job summary

Sandvik AB is seeking an OD Grinder to produce high-precision carbide cutting tools using CNC grinding machines. You will program, setup, operate the grinder and inspect tools for defects to ensure consistent quality across production runs.

The role requires reading blueprints, strong math skills, and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Training or certification in machining is ideal but not required.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints accurately and convert measurements.
• Strong math skills including metric-to-inch and decimal-to-fraction conversions.
• Attention to detail in quality inspection and measurement.
• Experience with CNC machining is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and offset CNC grinder as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints for production.
• Inspect tools for defects using quality control tools.
• Program and operate CNC machine and ensure consistent product quality.
• Evaluate finished tools via visual inspection and measurement tools.
• Communicate quality issues to programmers or management.
• Check machinery daily for proper function.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
