Job summary

GWS Tool Group in Surprise, AZ is seeking an OD Grinder to produce premium carbide cutting tools using CNC grinding machines and precise programs. You will set up, operate, and inspect tools to ensure high quality and consistency across production runs.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing measurements, and maintaining strict tolerances while collaborating with a small, service-focused team. Experience in manufacturing or CNC is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Machining certification ideal but not required.
• Well rounded knowledge of cutters, inserts and feeds/speeds preferred but not required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Previous CNC Operator experience preferred but not required.
• Programming experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and offsets as required.
• Ability to accurately read blueprints.
• Inspect tools for defects using quality control tools.
• Responsible for accurate programming and machine operation.
• Consistently evaluate the quality of the finished product from the CNC machine using visual inspection and measurement tools.
• Communicate quality issues to programmers and/or General Manager.
• Check machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Other duties assigned.
