Job summary

Sandvik Group is seeking a 5‑Axis CNC Operator to produce premium carbide and HSS cutting tools using 5-axis CNC tool grinding machines. You'll program, set up, run, and inspect tools, ensuring high precision and quality.

You will read blueprints, perform offsets, and communicate quality issues to the team. Daily tasks include pulling material, verifying machine readiness, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Machining certification ideal but not required.
• Knowledge of cutting tools.
• Experience with 5-axis CNC setup preferred.
• Programming experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform offsets as required.
• Read blueprints accurately.
• Inspect tools for defects using QC tools.
• Program and operate the CNC machine.
• Evaluate finished products by visual inspection and measurement.
• Communicate quality issues to programmers/GM.
• Pull material for upcoming jobs.
• Check machinery daily for functionality.
• Other duties as assigned.
