Job summary

Calqulate in Wisconsin is seeking a Multi-Spindle Setup / Operator. The role focuses on setting up, adjusting and operating multi-spindle lathes and automatic screw machines to produce precision metal components.

Candidates will read blueprints, establish speeds and tooling positions, troubleshoot issues and perform preventive maintenance in a busy production environment. Overtime opportunities are available as the company grows.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience setting up and operating multi-spindle lathes and screw machines.
Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts to tolerances using metrology tools.
Capable of diagnosing machine or tooling issues and adjusting parameters.
Familiarity with tooling components like collets, bushings, cams and stops.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate multi-spindle automatic machining equipment
Read blueprints and work to dimensions, tolerances and tooling specifications
Install and adjust collets, bushings, stock pushers, cams, gears, stops and cutting tools
Establish and adjust speeds, feeds, tooling positions and machine timing
Inspect first pieces and production parts using micrometers, calipers, height stands and comparators
Troubleshoot machine, tooling, programming and material issues
Change and maintain tooling and perform preventive maintenance
Produce quality precision metal components in a busy production environment
