Job summary

Vermont Precision Tools, Inc. designs and manufactures precision ground pins, blanks, and tooling for medical, aerospace, automotive, and defense markets.

As a machine operator in the Made to Order Value Stream, you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot manual grinding and CNC grinding/lathes, heat treat, and sand blasting processes to produce a variety of gage products. You will be trained to maintain tolerances, use measuring equipment for conformance, and perform basic data entries.

Qualifications

• Basic CNC programming understanding to use existing programs and make modifications.
• Ability to perform basic data entry functions.
• Ability to inspect product using measuring equipment.
• Maintain quality production to company standards.
• Remake/rework products not meeting specs.
• Maintain daily production levels.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual grinding and CNC grinding/lathe equipment.
• Troubleshoot processes and assist with heat treat and sand blasting steps.
• Monitor conformance to blueprints/work orders and inspect parts.
• Input basic data entries into internal systems daily.
• Maintain established production levels across operations.
• May assist with chrome plating setup and operation.
