Job summary

Vermont Precision Tools is seeking a machine operator for the Made to Order Value Stream. You will be trained to set up, operate, and troubleshoot manual grinding, CNC grinding/lathes, heat treat, and sand blasting processes that produce a broad range of gage products.

Responsibilities include producing to production totals, inspecting with precision tools, and maintaining quality in accordance with company standards; basic CNC modifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with setup, operation and troubleshooting of manual grinding and CNC grinding/lathes.
• Ability to perform basic data entry and monitor production data.
• Familiarity with blueprint specifications and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding and finishing equipment.
• Maintain daily production totals and meet tolerances.
• Inspect parts using measuring tools and ensure conformance with specs.
• Input data into internal systems daily.
• Remake or rework products not meeting requirements.
• Potential involvement with chrome plating processes.
