Job summary

Vermont Precision Tools is seeking a 2nd or 3rd shift Precision Metalworking Medical Machine Operator in Swanton, VT. The role focuses on setup, operation, and troubleshooting of manual grinding and CNC grinding equipment to produce high-quality medical burr blanks for the medical device industry.

You'll work with basic CNC programming, perform measurements with precision tools, and maintain production levels while ensuring strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC programs to set up production runs and make modifications.
• Ability to use measuring equipment to inspect parts for tolerance.
• Familiarity with manual disk grinders and centerless grinders in a precision environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manual CNC grinding equipment to produce precision burr blanks.
• Interpret blueprints and work instructions for production runs.
• Maintain production levels and quality according to company standards.
• Input basic data entries using internal computer programs daily.
• Monitor conformance and adjust equipment per blueprint specifications.
• Remake or rework parts not meeting specifications.
• Perform final inspection and document results.
• Utilize measuring equipment to ensure product tolerance.
