Job summary

Bay Ltd. is seeking a Motor Grade Finish Operator to perform rough or fine grade finishing, spreading and mixing materials to dry and prep roads, lay cold mix, and shave/removes old road surfaces.

The role requires operating a grader and related heavy equipment safely on streets, highways, and sites. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of grader experience and a working knowledge of grade control, with GPS/Robotics knowledge considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years’ experience operating a grader or heavy equipment.
• GPS/Robotics knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Cut/smooth sub-grade on street, highway, and site paving projects.
• Ditch & slope work, ripping, and grade control tasks.
• Perform daily pre/post trip checks and routine maintenance.
• Read stakes/hand signals to grade to the specified level.
• Finish grade base surface within half an inch of target.
