Job summary

M&M Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our 1st shift team in Chattanooga, TN. You will interpret engineering drawings, fabricate precision mold components, and perform maintenance on molds and tooling to support production quality and efficiency.

You will operate mills, lathes, grinders, saws, drills, and EDM equipment, troubleshoot in-press mold issues, and help improve tooling based on engineering prints. A focus on safety and documentation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience varies by qualifications and level.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot conventional tooling to cut, mill, drill, grind, and shape parts.
• Fabricate, assemble, and inspect components for molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify part specifications.
• Perform in-press mold troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on tooling.
• Investigate and repair mold issues and maintain production readiness.
• Design and build electrodes, jigs, and fixtures with ergonomic focus.
• Manufacture and improve molds and prototype parts from engineering prints.
• Prepare documentation and tooling records; participate in design reviews.
