Job summary

MBC Talent Connections is seeking a Tool & Die Machinist in Ankeny, IA, to build, modify, and maintain high-precision molds and tooling in a climate-controlled facility.

You will read engineering drawings, work with CAD/CAM data, and collaborate with engineers, designers and trade teams to meet demanding tolerances and tight schedules, with multiple shifts and generous overtime options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year tool & die degree or four years tooling/moldmaking experience preferred.
• Experience with metal saws, mills, grinders, and lathes.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and maintain high-precision molds and tooling
• Machine complex mold components on a variety of toolroom equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM files, and technical documentation
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot existing molds using precision measurement equipment
• Work with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to keep projects moving
• Identify ways to improve tooling performance, quality, and efficiency
• Lead project tasks when assigned
• Perform other duties as required
