Job summary

Accumold is seeking a Micro Mold Production Worker (Days) in Ankeny, IA. The role performs tasks in operating micro mold production machines, using the quality system and work instructions to ensure correct, independent production of plastic parts.

Essential duties include understanding machine operation, monitoring and inspecting parts, maintaining material supply, and troubleshooting with knowledge of mechanical concepts. This is a non-exempt, full-time position offering day shifts.

Qualifications

• High school education coursework or GED required.
• Experience or training in plastic part manufacturing.
• Understands measuring and inspection equipment used to monitor quality.
• Ability to understand mechanical concepts used in micro mold production.

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of micro mold machinery operation.
• Monitors machines and checks parts per work instructions.
• Keeps feeder bowls filled and monitors material for production run.
• Troubleshoots problems using machine knowledge.
• Measures parts and follows SPC procedures.
• Promotes efficient production practices and readiness of finished product.
• Communicates production problems to leads/management.
