The Systems Group is seeking an energetic Precision Millwright for our Blytheville, AR operation. You will address day-to-day issues and contribute to long-term strategy across our shutdown site, ensuring precise alignment and safe operation of heavy equipment.

You will read plans, calibrate equipment, and perform high-pressure hydraulic work, with attention to safety and teamwork as part of our mission to engineer safer, more productive steel operations.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of precision millwright experience in an industrial setting.
• Must bring own millwright tools to jobsite.
• Work in environment featuring extreme heat, loud noises, dust, and heights.

Responsabilidades

• Calibrate and align caster segments, rollers, and molds within precise geometric tolerances.
• Diagnose, rebuild, and laser-align high-capacity equipment including blast furnace blowers and gearboxes.
• Calculate and adjust for thermal growth and pipe strain near furnaces and hot-run tables.
• Utilize vibration analysis data and precision tools to detect bearing wear or misalignment.
• Overhaul and tune hydraulic systems, and control cylinders critical to mill operations.
• Execute shaft, spindle, and chock alignments on mills to ensure gauge control.

The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Precision Millwright teammate. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Precision Millwright Job Responsibilities

• Calibrate and align continuous caster segments, rollers, and molds within precise geometric tolerances to prevent liquid steel breakouts and tracking deviations.
• Diagnose, rebuild, and laser-align high-capacity equipment including blast furnace blowers, large reduction gearboxes, multi-stage pumps, and massive exhaust fans.
• Calculate and adjust for extreme thermal growth and pipe strain on machinery positioned near furnaces, ladles, and hot-run tables
• Utilize vibration analysis data and precision tools (dial indicators, micrometers) to detect early bearing wear or shaft misalignment
• Overhaul and tune high-pressure hydraulic systems, automatic gauge control (AGC) cylinders, and proportional valves critical to mill operations.
• Execute precise shaft, spindle, and chock alignments on Hot Strip Mills, Cold Reduction Mills, and finishing lines to ensure uniform gauge control and prevent steel tracking issues.

General Millwright Qualifications / Skills

• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams in order to perform tasks accurately.
• Ability to align motor and equipment alignment using various methods and tools including but not limited to: feeler gauges, squares, rules, micrometers, plum bobs, dial indicators, laser alignment, etc.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for high volume, high pressure mill hydraulics and lubrication systems

Experience and Requirements

• 3+ years of Precision Millwright experience in an industrial setting is preferred
• Must be able to work in environment featuring extreme heat, loud noises, dust, and heights.
• Must bring own millwright tools to jobsite.
• OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance provided)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
