Job summary

Core Industrial Maintenance is seeking an experienced Millwright to inspect, repair, and maintain industrial machinery across customer sites, with frequent travel. You will disassemble and reassemble equipment, build foundations, install shafting and conveyors, and read schematics to determine work procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 3 years of millwright experience, and a certificate program, with strong math skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a millwright or similar role.
• Certificate program completion in millwright field.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Familiarity with construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transport.
• Build foundations for machines.
• Install shafting, conveyors and tram rails.
• Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints.
• Transfer equipment to the relevant site for maintenance to avoid hazards.
• Grind and file machinery parts.

We are looking for someone that understands inspecting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery. This position will require the millwright to work in a variety of environments and frequent travel to customer sites.

• Build the foundation for machines.
• Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails.
• Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
• Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.
• Grind and file machinery parts.
• Supervise construction workers when using the equipment.
• Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment.
• Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a millwright or similar job.
• In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
• Completion of an accredited millwright certificate program.
