Job summary

MOVA Metals in Freeport, TX seeks a skilled Millwright to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and overhaul mechanical equipment across a 24/7 catalyst recycling facility. You will perform precision work, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to maximize equipment availability while upholding safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent industrial mechanical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in chemical plants, refineries, mining, metals processing, or heavy manufacturing.
• NCCER Millwright certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with rotating equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Comply with LOTO, confined space, hot work, line breaking, respiratory protection, and permit-required work procedures.
• Wear required PPE and maintain housekeeping.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses.
• Participate in safety meetings, JSAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair rotating and stationary equipment.
• Perform precision alignment of motors, pumps, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, fans, conveyors, crushers, rotary kilns, dryers, mixers, screens, and other processing equipment.
• Replace bearings, shafts, seals, couplings, sprockets, chains, belts, and mechanical drive components.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals; perform equipment modifications.
• Assist in root cause failure investigations and planned outages.
