Job summary

Vallourec - North America in Houston, TX, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright to keep heavy machinery running safely and efficiently. You’ll replace defective parts, align equipment, test units, and perform welding, fabrication, and installation tasks as part of a collaborative team.

You will work 12-hour day and night shifts, with overtime and on-call as required, and contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and reliability in a critical industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years Millwright experience.
• Must pass pre-employment background, drug and work screen.
• Must be available to work 12 hour day and night shifts, weekends, call-outs and overtime

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts of machines or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Connect power unit to machines and test to evaluate mechanical operation.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Lay out mounting holes and drill with power drill.
• Level bedplate and establish centerline.
• Dismantle machines and prepare for shipment or installation.
• Perform Welding and Fabrication as assigned.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic fluid systems for installation and maintenance
