Job summary

Metalico- is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on yard equipment and support systems. You will collaborate with operations, environmental, and maintenance teams to keep machinery running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on skills with hand tools, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, and welding. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a 50+ hour work week are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years maintenance experience.
• Able to troubleshoot electrical & hydraulic systems, pumps, valves.
• Industrial mill, shredder, or mining experience preferred.
• Excellent written, organization, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to weld is required.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in basic hand tools and proper use.
• Inspect, remove, install, align, and lubricate bearings, gears, belts, conveyors, and chains.
• Must be willing and able to work with heavy equipment when needed.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
