Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months MIG welding experience or completed a MIG program.
• Ability to read blueprints and production layouts.
• Must be able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Satisfactorily completes company approved work sample demonstrating MIG welding expertise.
• Operates manual and automated welding units to join edges of work pieces.
• Maintains arc length and travel speed for specified fusion depth and bead.
• Repairs welds and fills holes as needed.
• Positions and clamps work pieces or fixtures; tack welds assemblies.
• May change hoses, fittings, air valves, suspensions parts, etc.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and follows safety practices.
