Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Micro Assembly Technician to support the manufacturing line for advanced optoelectronic components. You will perform precision assembly, microscopic inspection, and delicate handling of laser diode parts from 1 mm to 250 microns, under a high-magnification microscope.

Responsibilities include wire bonding, alignment, and inspection to tight tolerances, with strict adherence to SOPs, cleanroom and ESD practices, and detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in precision assembly, microelectronics, semiconductor, or related manufacturing.
• Experience using a microscope for extended periods.
• Hands-on handling of small-scale delicate components.
• Cleanroom/ESD awareness and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly of optoelectronic components, including laser diodes and subassemblies.
• Handle microscopic parts from 1 mm to 250 microns under a microscope.
• Conduct fine wire bonding, placement, and alignment of wires as small as 25 microns.
• Use microscopes and precision tools to assemble, align, and inspect to tight tolerances.
• Document completed work and report defects or issues; support process improvements.
• Adhere to SOPs, drawings, and quality standards through detailed work instructions.
• Follow cleanroom and ESD protocols and safety procedures.
