Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an assembler to support the build and test of opto‑mechanical and electro‑optical assemblies. You will interpret drawings, assemble subassemblies, and verify sensor functionality using diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities include optical alignment, precision adjustments, troubleshooting with DMMs and other instruments, and thorough documentation to ensure flight‑critical reliability. Prior experience with PCB assembly is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related technical field.
• PCB assembly experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds for short durations.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and procedures to perform assembly and test operations.
• Assemble, install, align, and adjust electro-optical and mechanical subassemblies.
• Operate test software and diagnostic tools to verify sensor functionality and calibration.
• Perform optical alignment and verify optical paths.
• Use precision hand tools to meet performance specifications.
• Troubleshoot issues using test equipment.
• Apply adhesives and bonding compounds per procedures.
• Verify all steps are completed in proper sequence and document results.
• Inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with documentation.
• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure product reliability.
