The position requires hands-on gage checking, calibration, and repair experience, with CNC background and ability to interpret feature readings.

Qualifikationen

• Hand-on experience with gage checking, repair and certification.
• CNC machining background and ability to interpret part features to gage readings and gage features.
• Knowledge of surface plate layout and ability to perform trig calculations.
• Certification requires precision measurement in Metric and English standards.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar PC systems (GageIt) is helpful.

Aufgaben

• Check, adjust, calibrate, certify and repair precision measuring instruments.
• Lap, adjust and repair gages to restore accuracy.
• Assist with certification of CMM, Super Micrometers, surface plates and allied equipment.
• Arrange repairs with outside suppliers as needed.
• Train new or fellow employees after qualification.
• Support ISO9001 processes and gauge system records.
