thyssenkrupp in Lafayette, IN is seeking a skilled Gage Inspector to validate the conformity of cut parts against customer requirements. The role involves calibrating and certifying precision measuring instruments, with close attention to ISO standards and process documentation.

Shift: Mon-Fri 2:30pm–11:00pm. The candidate will train others as they gain qualification and contribute to a robust quality program.

Qualificações

• Experience with gage checking, repair and certification.
• Ability to interpret features to gage readings and print specs.
• Knowledge of surface plate layout and trig-based dimensioning.
• Certification in precision measurement in Metric and English standards.

Responsabilidades

• This position checks, adjusts, calibrates, certifies and repairs precision measuring instruments.
• Coordinates with certification of CMM, Super Micrometers, surface plates and allied equipment.
• Trains new or fellow employees in technical aspects when qualified.
• Maintains records in line with ISO9001 and Corporate Gage System.
