Job summary

Mach10 Solutions is seeking a Metal Stamping Technician to support our production floor by preparing and operating heavy-duty punch presses, ensuring first-piece accuracy and adherence to specifications.

You will perform tool setups, verify material specs, measure with micrometers and calipers, and maintain safety with LOTO and OSHA standards while collaborating with operators and documenting production data, with continuous improvement through preventive maintenance and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating punch presses.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and tooling drawings.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers and gauges.
• Valid forklift certification and experience with overhead cranes.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex setups of progressive tooling and fixtures into punch presses to ensure optimal production flow.
• Verify material specifications, including thickness and gauge, to maintain strict adherence to engineering prints.
• Perform first-piece inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and various gauges to guarantee quality standards.
• Monitor and adjust hydraulic and mechanical safety controls to maintain a secure and efficient operating environment.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production operators by providing technical guidance and assistance during challenging runs or complex re-sets.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure all finished goods are labeled and packaged according to specifications.
