Job summary

MiTek Industries in Florida is seeking a Press Operator to operate stamping presses and packaging lines, ensuring safety, quality, and accurate production reporting. You will feed materials, inspect first pieces, and assist mechanics to maintain equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred with related experience or training.
• Up to 1 year of related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read prints and schematics and use basic measuring tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping presses and packaging equipment per instructions.
• Meet or exceed daily production goals and report malfunctions.
• Assist mechanics to keep equipment operational.
• Feed materials into stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Manually pack metal connectors and steel components.
• Minimize waste and label shipping containers with lot numbers.
• Monitor coolant and oil levels; perform routine checks.
• Complete production paperwork accurately during shift.

Job Responsibilities & RequirementsA Brief OverviewOperate stamping presses and auxiliary equipment producing metal connector plates and steel components with manual and automated packaging processes. Ensuring safety and quality compliance, as well as precise production reporting, are major responsibilities of this role.What You Will Do:ResponsibilitiesOperate a stamping press and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processesMeet and/or exceed daily production goalsReport all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisorsAssist mechanics whenever required to keep press/packaging equipment operationalCorrectly feed slit ribbon material into the stamping dies and perform first piece inspectionManually pack metal connectors and/or steel components into packaging containers.Strive to keep product waste to a minimum; inspect finished products and mark steel lot numbers on shipping containersMonitor production equipment coolant and oil levels and adjust accordinglyOngoing inspection of products being produced to our internal quality standardsComplete quality and production paperwork in its entirety throughout assigned shiftAttendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty.
