Job summary

Phoenix Metals Company is seeking personnel to perform basic production activities on a variety of machining equipment to produce precision metal parts. You will review blueprints, select materials, and determine processing steps to ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, monitoring speeds/feeds, and performing quality inspections. A strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork is required for success in our ISO-conscious plant environment.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehousing and material handling experience is a plus.
• Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting metal working machines is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic production machines to fabricate precision metal parts.
• Review blueprints, work orders, and tooling instructions to understand machining requirements.
• Set up machines and monitor speeds, feeds, and tooling selections.
• Perform quality control inspections on finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and scales.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness, document work orders, and assist with material handling.
