Qualifications

• 1-2 years forklift experience required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting metalworking machines preferred.
• Adequate manual dexterity and finger dexterity required.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic measurement skills and math for basic computations.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic production activities on various machines to produce precision parts.
• Walk frequently between operator and loading platforms to inspect quality.
• Manage operations of cut-to-length machines via stairs.
• Review blueprints, work orders and tooling instructions to understand machining characteristics.
• Select materials according to work orders and determine processing specs.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines; set speeds and feeds.
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and scales to ensure specs.
• Complete paperwork and restock materials.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in all tasks.
