Job summary

Technical Metal Finishing, Inc. in Wallingford CT is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our team.

You will read, understand and perform work to written procedures, verify tooling adequacy, and inspect finished parts for quality. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, manufacturing experience, knowledge of ISO-9001 or Nadcap preferred, and the ability to read and interpret engineering instructions and measurements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO-9001 and Nadcap preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing instructions and drawings.
• Basic math skills.
• US work eligibility and ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and perform work to written procedures.
• Check tooling adequacy and verify setup for qualified jobs.
• Inspect parts for peen coverage and quality after unloading.
• Use approved materials and tooling to clean residues and media.
• Use surface analyzer and measure finish to POP requirements.
• Inspect parts and record defects/non-conformances.
• Keep work areas clean and free of debris.
• Understand TMF quality system principles.
• Maintain willingness to work flexible schedule and overtime.
• Maintain positive attitude and teamwork.
• Maintain excellent attendance.
