Job summary

Tecomet, Inc is seeking a Metal Finisher I for the first shift in Massachusetts. You will perform finishing operations such as deburring, hand grinding, and polishing according to job orders, and you may operate a tumbler or sandblasting with a blast cabinet to achieve required finishes.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, inspecting surfaces per blueprints, and maintaining clean, safe workspaces while supporting lean manufacturing practices and meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HiSET.
• Experience using hand tools, sanders and grinders preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring equipment.
• Ability to follow safety policies and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic finishing operations: deburring, hand grinding, polishing, and break edges.
• Operate sand blasting using a blast cabinet and select appropriate media.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure surface finishes per specs/blueprints.
• Set up and operate finishing equipment with correct tooling.
• Adhere to 5S and safety guidelines; keep workspace clean and organized.
• Meet production metrics as required.
