Job summary

Champion Personnel is hiring an experienced Metal Finisher / Hand Grinder for a busy Cleveland manufacturing company that builds packaging and shrink-wrapping equipment used in the food and retail industries. This is a hands-on, non-entry level role.

You will use hand grinders to smooth edges, deburr and finish aluminum and other metals, inspect pieces for quality, and maintain steady focus in a fast-paced shop environment with Monday–Friday day shift.

Qualifications

• Previous hand grinding experience REQUIRED.
• Previous metal finishing experience REQUIRED.
• Powder coating experience is a HUGE PLUS and qualifies experienced candidates for $20/hour.

Responsibilities

• Use hand grinders to smooth edges and surfaces on aluminum and other metal components
• Grind, deburr, smooth, and finish metal parts
• Polish finished metal pieces
• Prepare surfaces to achieve a clean, quality finish
• Inspect finished pieces for consistency and quality
• Perform repetitive finishing work while maintaining attention to detail
• Assist with additional metal finishing duties as needed
• Work with components used to manufacture industrial shrink-wrapping equipment
