Job summary

AAF International seeks an operator to load dies, set strokes, and load programs to produce required parts. Responsibilities include following safety rules, reading blueprints, and operating punch presses and various fabrication machines on the shop floor.

Experience in metal fabrication and the ability to interpret drawings are essential. Strong communication and math skills help ensure accurate production and adherence to specifications. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Licenses or certificates in trade skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety rules and procedures.
• Uses a punch press to prepare metal parts.
• Reads blueprints and drawings.
• Programs numbers from a flat pattern and edits as needed.
• Operates a forklift to move metal.
• Operates hand tools (hammer, gauge, wrench, square, tape measure).
• Maintains machine cleanliness.
• Operates other fabrication machines (shear, saw, press brake, drill press, deburrer).
• Ensures correct tooling is used to obtain the part.
• Maintains communication with Foreman/Lead on shop floor.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
