Job summary

AAF International is looking for a capable operator to load proper dies, set stroke, and load programs to manufacture required parts for filters and related components. You will read blueprints, run a punch press, and adjust programs as needed in a safety-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in manufacturing, can identify metals, and read flat patterns. Strong measurement and math skills, plus good communication with the foreman, are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

  • Requires ability to work with precision instruments.
  • Ability to read and follow flat patterns.
  • Knowledge to identify different types of metal.
  • Minimum 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Licenses or certifications in trade skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all safety rules and procedures.
  • Uses a punch press to prepare metal for filters, containment houses, frames, components, R&D work, and clean rooms.
  • Reads blueprints and drawings.
  • Programs numbers from a flat pattern into the machine's computer and edits computer programs if problems arise.
  • Operates a forklift to pick up metal.
  • Operates hand tools such as a hammer, metal gauge, wrench, square, and tape measure.
  • Maintains the machine cleaning.
  • Operates other fabrication machines such as the shear, saw, press brake, drill press, deburrer, etc.
  • Responsible for making sure the proper tooling is being used to obtain the required part.
  • Responsible for staying in constant communication with the Foreman or Lead person on shop floor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
  • License or certificates in any of the above mentioned trade skills are beneficial

SPECIAL SKILLS:.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Measurement skills are required to meet drawing specifications.
  • Math skill is needed to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to work with computer programs and to convert from metric to standard measurements.
