Job summary

Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Machine Operator to support our Albany, OR manufacturing operation. This full-time position offers competitive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) plan, paid vacation and sick time, and more.

You will fabricate steel parts, operate a press brake and/or shear, read blueprints, check dimensions, and ensure quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a press brake and/or shear.
• Set up experience a plus.
• Understanding of basic CNC controls.
• 1+ years prior production experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tape.
• Basic math and problem solving.
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to pass EHS tests and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate steel and metal parts per work order.
• Operate a press brake and/or shear.
• Adjust rake and blade pressure.
• Set length and angle of cut.
• Lift and position workpieces to machine bed.
• Start machine and cut metal.
• Lay out cutting lines on metal.
• Tilt bed or install fixtures for shear/trim.
• Operate portable shear to cut sheet metal.
• Inspect work to verify dimensions.
