Job summary

Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Fabricator to support our Rosemount, MN manufacturing operation. This is a full-time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more.

Pay rate: Hourly $24.50 - 26.40 (based on experience). Responsibilities include fabricating steel and other metal parts per work orders and blueprints, operating a Press Brake and/or Shear, and inspecting finished work for dimensional

Qualifications

Experience operating a Press Brake and/or Shear; setup experience a plus.
Ability to read blueprints and measure with a tape.
1+ years of production experience preferred.
Basic math and problem-solving skills.
Ability to pass EHS tests and clearances.
Understanding of basic CNC controls.

Responsibilities

Fabricate steel and other metal parts as indicated by the work order and blueprints.
Operate a Press Brake and/or Shear.
Turn handwheels to adjust rake and pressure of blade.
Position and clamp stop and side guides to set length and angle of cut.
Lifts workpiece manually or by hoist or crane to machine bed or roller table and positions it against side guide and end stops.
Starts machine, which clamps workpiece and lowers blade to cut metal.
Lays out cutting lines on metal when shearing single pieces.
Tilt bed, blade, or install fixtures to shear, bevel, or trim fabricated items.
Operate portable shear to cut sheet metal.
Inspect work to verify dimensions.
