Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a production operator for precision sheet metal work in a manufacturing setting. You will set up, load, operate fabrication equipment, and perform deburring, cleaning, and basic assembly on metal parts.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts with calipers and micrometers, recording counts, and maintaining logs. The role requires safety discipline and teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering blueprints and applying GD&T symbols.
• 1+ years in precision sheet metal fabrication or similar environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
• Able to read work instructions and routing sheets.
• Stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment and finishing tools.
• Load materials and unload finished parts safely.
• Perform deburring, cleaning, grinding, and basic assembly.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges for tolerances.
• Monitor operations and report defects or wear promptly.
• Maintain production logs and count documentation.
• Follow PPE rules and 5S workplace organization.
