Job summary

SendCutSend Inc. is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to run and support CNC fiber laser machines, ensuring precision in cutting and forming sheet metal parts. You will set up, program, and inspect parts to meet customer specifications, while maintaining cleanliness and safety on the production floor.

You will load materials, verify tooling and programs, and collaborate with leads to hit daily production goals. This role emphasizes quality, efficiency, and adherence to LEAN principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic knowledge of CNC systems and machine controls.
• Ability to read production drawings and flat patterns.
• Ability to use measuring devices and basic hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC fiber lasers.
• Load material and unload finished parts from machines.
• Verify correct programs, tooling, and material prior to running jobs.
• Perform machine startup, shutdown, and routine daily maintenance.
• Install and set up punches, dies, and job tooling as required.
• Read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings for proper laser and brake setup.
• Measure parts using gauges and inspection tools to verify angles, dimensions, and overall accuracy meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to meet daily production goals and communicate issues or quality concerns as they arise.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in alignment with LEAN and 5S principles.
• Assist with inventory of tooling such as punches and dies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
