Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for Medical Production in Plymouth, MI. You will join a small team on a clean production line, using hand tools, grinders, and precision equipment to shape and finish medical parts. Expect structured shifts, potential overtime, and a focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment working as part of a team.
• Repetitive assembly or production manufacturing using hand tools.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hand tools, grinders, saws, and calipers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
• Stable employment history with three or fewer jobs over the past five years.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom-type environment and follow cleanliness procedures.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and safety/quality standards.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a small pencil grinder to shape and refine medical parts to precise specifications.
• Use hand files to achieve accurate and smooth edges on parts with high-quality finishes.
• Perform controlled blasting of material in designated equipment.
• Sort finished products according to specifications, identifying conforming and nonconforming parts.
• Ream and grind parts to prepare them for subsequent production steps on the line.
• Detach parts using a bandsaw, adhering to safety and dimensional requirements.
• Collaborate with a team of about four on a cleanroom-type production line.
• Follow work instructions and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and proper storage of tools and materials.
• Work with quality inspectors to meet production targets and maintain quality.
