Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Operator for a contract-to-hire role in Bethel, CT. You will join a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting floor operations, operating precision machinery, and ensuring quality across medical/aerospace parts.

Responsibilities include machining support, data logging, time-off coordination, and safe operation of tools. Overtime may be required to meet production goals; housing a hands-on, collaborative work style is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, trades or similar hands-on production environment.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with general production, assembly, and inspection tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform all floor operations and processes in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Operate, monitor, and support machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Backfill and support various production roles as necessary to maintain workflow and meet production demands.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new team members as required by operations leadership.
• Assist in determining pay rate settings and adjustments in line with performance and operational needs.
• Record and maintain accurate labor hours in company software for tracking and reporting purposes.
