Job summary

Block Imaging is seeking a Component Repair Technician to restore medical imaging components through diagnostics, repairs, and quality checks to support reliable patient-care technology.

This hands-on role requires reading schematics, testing, documenting results, and maintaining safe, organized workspaces while meeting compliance standards. Associates or BS in engineering/electronics and 2–3 years of electronics testing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or BS in Engineering, Electronics or equivalent.
• 2–3 years electronics testing or validation experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic testing, software updates, and minor component replacements on parts and assemblies.
• Safely remove, replace, and repair electronic components—including SMD and BGA—using proper tools and techniques.
• Read and interpret schematics, block diagrams, and technical documentation to guide accurate repairs.
• Document all test results and repair activities thoroughly to meet compliance and internal standards.
• Prepare circuit boards and assemblies to ensure they are clean, safe, and ready for installation or sale.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while following all internal safety guidelines.
• Demonstrate proficient use of hand tools—including soldering equipment, heat guns, multimeters, and power supplies—to support efficient, high‑quality repair workflows.
• Other duties as assigned.
