Job summary

Manpower, Inc. in Tigard, OR is seeking an assembler to join a manufacturing cell that produces medical devices such as pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related components. You will perform a variety of assembly, testing, and repair tasks with a strong emphasis on precision and quality.

The role offers 1st and 2nd shift options with pay of $20 per hour, and requires reading procedures, using computers, and maintaining clear documentation while adhering to safety and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Able to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable using computers, software applications, and electronic data collection systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
• Excellent manual dexterity with the ability to handle and assemble small components.
• Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine assembly, testing, and repair tasks following established and standardized procedures
• Complete assigned work under close supervision, with ongoing review to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date job documentation for all manufacturing cell operations
• Communicate clearly and professionally with manufacturing leadership regarding ideas, issues, and solutions (both written and verbal)
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude when interacting with internal teams and external visitors or tours
• Follow all safety policies and correctly use required safety equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to support productivity, quality, and profitability goals
• Maintain accurate records to ensure full product traceability and resolution of any quality concerns
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors and Managers to set and monitor individual goals and cell performance metrics
• Support divisional initiatives and comply with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements
