Job summary

Tenaris in Blytheville, Arkansas seeks a Mechanic Test Operator to perform API and special customer mechanical tests on samples, safely and efficiently according to procedures.

You will ensure instruments are in good condition, set up machines, run Tensile/Charpy/Hardness/DWTT or Fatigue tests, operate computerized equipment, and document results in tracking systems, notifying the responsible section when tests are out of spec.

Responsibilities

• Ensures instruments are in good condition checking their expiration date and correct functioning.
• Executes change over and set up of the machine.
• Performs API and special customer mechanical tests such as Tensile, Charpy, Hardness, DWTT or Fatigue tests.
• Performs computerized machine operation.
• Caries out quality reports of test results and notifies the responsible section when a test is out of specifications.
• Updates information in the tracking systems and records the obtained results.
