SQA Services, Inc. is seeking a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector for the first shift on a part-time basis (20-25 hours per week, 2-3 days). You will perform precision inspections on mechanical parts and assemblies, read drawings, and verify conformance with GD&T and documentation.

Ideal candidates have >5 years of hands-on inspection experience, familiarity with CMMs and inspection tools, and the ability to adapt to new software. Travel and ITAR compliance may apply where necessary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions using hand tools.
• Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.

Responsabilités

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to drawings.
• Conduct surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot sample parts as needed.
• Use inspection tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, CMMs etc.
• Identify defects and classify defect types while reviewing documentation.
• Verify documentation to industry/commodity standards.
• Assist with rework verification and closure during inspection.
