Vacuum Innovations is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Designer to join the engineering team in Dansville, NY. You will develop precise mechanical designs, create detailed CAD documentation, and support system integration for innovative projects using advanced modeling, drafting, and analysis.

This role focuses on turning concepts into manufacturable parts, with collaboration across engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing or equipment build environments.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering concepts into manufacturing-ready drawings and 3D models.
• Focus on materials, dimensioning, and tolerance analysis.
• Design parts with fabrication constraints in mind.
• Create bills of materials and maintain version control.
• Analyze and test existing projects for improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Designers and Project Managers.
• Ensure products meet safety regulations.
