Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional mechanical design experience with machines, Fixtures, tooling, or complex assemblies.
• Ability to design for tight tolerances, precision alignment, repeatability, stiffness, thermal stability, and practical manufacturability.
• Experience creating or reviewing detailed mechanical designs, drawings, BOMs, and released design packages.

Responsibilities

• Design machines, fixtures, tooling, and mechanical systems meeting demanding accuracy and performance.
• Develop concepts from rough requirements through detailed design, review, release, and testing.
• Own portions of a design from concept through CAD, drawings, BOMs, vendor coordination, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze designs for stiffness, thermal effects, vibration, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with process, electrical, controls engineers, machinists, technicians, and vendors.
• Support machine assembly, commissioning, and testing when needed.
