Job summary

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) has an opening for a Mechanical Manufacturing Assembly Technician at our Annapolis, MD facility, onsite due to the nature of the role. The technician will assemble light, heavy and complex mechanical assemblies and support underwater systems and sensors within our advanced platforms.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of related experience, ability to read drawings, use torque wrenches, basic rigging and precision measuring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of related education or experience.
• Ability to read drawings, processes and specs for tight tolerance parts.
• Knowledge of basic rigging and assembly with torque tools.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and shop tooling.
• DoD Secret Clearance eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble light, heavy and complex mechanical assemblies.
• Read drawings and specs to ensure tolerances.
• Use torque wrenches and calibrated equipment to assemble components.
• Perform lean improvements and maintain safety and quality.
• Learn and perform other duties as needed as part of the manufacturing team.
