Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Assembly Technician for our Annapolis, MD facility. The role involves assembling light, heavy, and complex mechanical parts with strict tolerance and requires onsite presence due to the nature of the work.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of related experience, strong tool handling and rigging skills, and the ability to read drawings. DoD clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of related education/experience.
• Ability to read drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
• Preferred: multi-axis CNC machining and advanced rigging experience.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, processes, and specs for tight tolerance parts.
• Use torque wrenches and calibrated equipment to assemble.
• Rig light and heavy loads; align, fasten and fixture work.
• Use a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Support lean initiatives and suggest improvements.
• Perform program verifications, data collection, and other duties as needed.
• Work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
