Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Charlotte, NC is seeking an assembly technician to join our day shift. You will read blueprints, follow standard work instructions, and assemble components with hand and power tools to meet precise specifications.

You will rotate across stations, maintain quality and safety, support housekeeping, and collaborate with supervisors and departments. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required, with pay rates listed for each shift.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing assembly experience.
• Solid mechanical background.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components using a variety of hand and power tools according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and/or standard work instructions.
• Perform a range of tasks by following prescribed procedures in product assembly and testing.
• Complete assemblies on time and in alignment with quality specifications.
• Identify improvement areas and communicate effective ways to implement change.
• Keep the workstation clean and support housekeeping for the entire department.
• Uphold high personal standards for productivity, quality, and safety.
• Learn and operate in multiple stations within the department.
• Collaborate through clear communication with your supervisor and related departments.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and strong teamwork.

Job description

A day in this roleYou arrive for your selected shift, review the day’s blueprints or standard work instructions, and prep your hand and power tools. Throughout the shift, you assemble components to specification, follow prescribed procedures for product assembly and testing, and hit quality and schedule targets. You rotate across multiple stations as needed, communicate clearly with your supervisor and related departments, and call out opportunities to improve how work gets done. You wrap up by leaving your workstation spotless and supporting department-wide housekeeping.

Schedule & Pay

• 1st shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm. When on 10-hour days, you’ll stay until 4:30pm for overtime. Pay rate: $17/hr.
• 2nd shift: 4:30pm – 1:00am. When on 10-hour days, you’ll stay until 3:00am for overtime. Pay rate: $18/hr.

Overtime expectations

Overtime and weekend hours may be assigned. Mandatory overtime and weekend hours are frequent and may be assigned as needed.

Required experience & qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
• One year of experience in manufacturing assembly.
• Solid mechanical background.
